Home: The Art of Ian Strange (ABC Arts)

This social video involved re-cutting elements from episode 3 of the series into one self-contained story about Ian Strange’s SUBURBAN project. The video was edited with consultation from the artist.

The Final Cut (ABC RN)

A test audio social video made in After Effects, Premiere Pro, InDesign and Photoshop, using audio from an episode of The Final Cut.

You Can’t Ask That (ABC iview)

A ‘top and tail’ square social video that maintains the original ratio of widescreen content by accompanying it with an explanatory headline and easy to read subtitles. This social campaign has been the most successful in ABC TV history. I worked on the campaign under the direction of Ashley Chang and in collaboration with the production company.

Celebrating Australian Cinema (ABC Arts)

A square social video cut down from an extra in the Celebrating Australian Cinema collection that uses clips from films, edited in accordance with the copyright exemption for criticism and review.

AFTRS Showcase (ABC iview)

A promo/trailer cut down from six short films as part of ABC iview’s AFTRS Showcase collection and made in consultation with the marketing department at AFTRS.

Off The Page (ABC Arts)

A square social video that involved cutting down and restructuring an episode of Off The Page to focus on one facet of Gemma O’Brien’s art practice. This video was also re-scored.

The Wanderers (ABC Arts)

A square social video cut down from an episode of The Wanderers to focus on the notion of synaesthesia.

Celebrating Australian Cinema (ABC Arts)

A square social video cut down from an extended interview segment with Margaret and David, made by dividing the original frame in half and matching eyelines so as to emphasise their responses to one another.

Cleverman (ABC TV)

Made using Premiere Pro and After Effects, this edited clip from the second season of Cleverman adds moving text to provide context without distracting from the drama and tone of the original video.

Comedy Up Late (ABC 2)

A ‘top and tail’ square social video that maintains the original ratio of widescreen content by accompanying it with clearly defined branded idents.

Art Makers (ABC Arts)

A square social video that reorients archival footage to place an emphasis on the history behind Yhonnie Scarce’s recent artworks in The National.

The Wanderers (ABC Arts)

A 16:9 cutdown of the first episode of The Wanderers, focusing on the people in a small town in rural NSW, so as to make the video more widely shareable.
